New York Knicks centre Patrick Ewing was remarkably consistent for the fifteen seasons he was in the Big Apple, barely ever averaging under twenty points per game. In the 1991 season, the first under legendary head coach Pat Riley, Ewing and the Knicks finished with a record of 51 wins and 31 losses, tying them for first place in the Atlantic Division. After defeating the Detroit Pistons in the first round, the Michael Jordan led Chicago Bulls would prove to be too tall of a task for the Knicks, defeating them four games to three.
